Lead Service Line Inventory

The City of Lamberton has completed and submitted our service line materials inventory to the Minnesota Department of Health. The service line inventory is publicly available and you can check the materials for your service line by visiting the Lead Inventory Tracking Tool (LITT) at https://maps.umn.edu/LSL/ you may also contact us at City Hall 507-752-7601 or clerk@lamberotnmn.com. To complete the service line inventoryif you have not done so already.

The City of Lamberton's water system contains 47 lead, 14 galvanized requiring replacement, 228 unknown material, and 143 non-lead service lines.

There are two parts to your service line.  The City's portion that feeds your service to the curb stop.  The second portion is the resident's portion is from the curb stop into the house to your water meter.  You may recall the Spring/Summer of 2024 we sent surveys and instructions to get the information on the resident's portion.  The City's portion was determined from past project records.  Unfortunately these were not complete or missing.  Materials used is dependent on when lines were installed and the standards of that time period.

The City of Lamberton will continue to work with the MN Department of Health to follow the processes and recomendations to identifying materials used in the unknown lines.  The City of Lamberton will also be working to obtain funding for both the property owners and the City to cover the expense of service line updates.
