City elections are held on even numbered years and held the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November. There is not a Primary held for City offices. Polling place hours for voting are 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. The elected officials for the City of Lamberton are as follows:

Mayor 2 year term
Council Member 4 year term

Individuals who are eligible and desire to become a candidate must file an Affidavit of Candidacy during the filing period as set by the State of Minnesota during normal business hours at City Office located at 112 2nd Ave West. The filing fee is $2.00.

Qualifications For Filing For A Council Position

  • Is an eligible voter within the City of Lamberton.
  • Has no other affidavit on file as a candidate for any office at the same election.
  • Is, or will be upon assuming office, 21 years of age or more, and will have maintained residence within the city limits of Lamberton for 30 days before the election.
  • May not be a full-time, permanent employee of the City.

Where do I vote?

All residents living within the City limits of Lamberton vote at the Lamberton Community Center located at 101 2nd Ave East. Hours for voting are 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Campaign Financial Reports

Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, the City will post all campaign financial reports received from candidates for City office. The reports will be posted within 30 days of receipt from the candidate. The reports will remain on the City’s website for four years from the date of posting.
